Esther Alarape is an 18 year old UCD nursing student. She has been a member of AGC since 2016. She sings tenor in the choir.Her main interests are:music of course (she also plays saxophone!), travelling, and reading. Her music journey started from the tender age of three, which was when she first began to discover her voice, memorising and repeating the songs she would hear at church, all over the house. At the age of eight she joined the children choir and the main choir in her church and has always been a member of the church choir since. She also began to learn the trumpet at this age.
She won 2nd place in the Junior Trumpet/Cornet (C) division in the annual Feis Ceoil competition ,in 2012. She moved on to the saxophone after two years, the one and only music director of the AGC Dublin choir, Adeniyi Allen-Taylor, as her teacher. She assists with the children’s choir in her church. Being a part of the choir gives her a sense of family and purpose in regards to her singing ministry and has been a huge part of her life since joining.
