Femi’s musical ability is wide, as he can sing, play multiple instruments and also produce music. He started playing the keyboard at the age of 5, having Adeniyi Allen-Taylor as his teacher. He also took up the bass guitar at the age of 12, again having Adeniyi Allen-Taylor as his teacher. He took up acoustic guitar in 2018 and has self-taught so far. His almost 12 years of musical experience even at his young age has seen him play in church, at school events, competitions, concerts and many other events, earning him recognition and awards for his musical achievements.
Femi has been a church goer and a child of God for a long time, and has been very committed to his church choir from an early age. He currently sings and plays the piano and bass guitar in his church choir, and is head of instrumentalists department in his church. Joining AGC in October of 2019 was something that he always wanted to do, having watched them at every Oba Nla Concert since 2009. He was a brilliant musician, but hadn’t unlocked his singing potential until summoning up the courage to audition for the choir. He got the opportunity to first perform with the choir at Oba Nla Concert 2019, a few weeks after joining, and enjoyed the experience to the fullest. The choir has changed his life, as he is now a confident singer, and has grown closer to God in the process.
